Despite the glamorous image of being in a band, the reality of touring round the UK for months on end can be an arduous business. To ease some of the pain of endless motorway travel and as part of the launch of their 2015 Vivaro Van, Vauxhall decided to donate a vehicle to some up and coming UK bands to use as a tour bus.

In conjunction with Independent Venue Week we caught up with Frankie & The Heartstrings at a gig in Bedford to find out about life on the road. A month later to celebrate Record Store Day we asked Stockport band Dutch Uncles to find their favourite albums amongst the vinyl at Rise Records in Bristol, and talk us through the ups and downs of the UK's motorway service stations.
